THE coalition talks between EFF and ANC have collapsed after the two parties failed to reach an agreement on how to govern together in some of the country’s key metros.
EFF leader Julius Malema confirmed his party’s decision during a media briefing on the outcomes of the ongoing coalition talks between various parties on how to share power in hung municipalities across the country.
Malema said during coalition meetings the ANC did not want to discuss genuine issues affecting the poor, saying they were only wanted to discuss control, positions and patronage.
“The EFF will not be voting for and will not support any candidate put forward by the ANC in all Municipalities for all positions including positions of Speakers, Chief Whips and Mayors,” said Malema.
