Six workers died and three others injured after a building under construction collapsed Wednesday in the Kansanga suburb of the Ugandan capital, Kampala.
The bodies have been retrieved from the debris and the injured taken to hospital, Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson said, Xinhua reported.
A special committee is investigating the cause of the collapse, Onyango added.
The builders were not Kasanga residents locals said.
They noted that the labourers were brought in the morning and driven back to unknown place late in the evening.
In May 2019, five people, including four children, were killed in a residential fence wall collapse following heavy rains in Kampala, CGTN reported.
