Dukwana shocked and saddened by death of former Free State premier Beatrice Marshoff

MXOLISI Dukwana has expressed shock and sorrow upon learning of the passing of the former Free State Premier, Beatrice Marshoff.

Marshoff, 65, died on Saturday at the Chris Hani Bara hospital, Soweto.

According to Sello Dithebe, spokesperson for the premier, Marshoff passed away between 2am and 3am on Saturday at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

“On behalf of the Free State executive council, provincial government, people of Free State, Premier Mxolisi Dukwana sends his deepest condolences to the children of Marshoff and the entire Marshoff family,” said Sithebe.

Dukwana acknowledged and appreciated the significant contributions that Marshoff made towards the development of the Free State province and her dedicated service to its people.

Last month, Marshoff addressed the memorial service of former Free State MEC for Education, Tate Makgoe, and his bodyguard, Warrant officer Vuyo Mdi, in Bloemfontein.
