ActionSA on Saturday unveiled four mayoral candidates in Limpopo as the party steps up its campaign ahead of South Africa’s 2026 local government elections.
Party president Herman Mashaba made the announcement at Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane, where supporters gathered to hear the candidates for municipalities across the province.
The party named Victor Mothemela for Capricorn District Municipality, Tonic Manchidi for Makhuduthamaga Municipality, Thapelo Molapo for Polokwane Local Municipality and Shobane Mafona for Molemole Municipality.
The party said the early announcement formed part of a broader strategy to position itself as an alternative in Limpopo’s local governance landscape.
Supporters gathered in large numbers at the Polokwane venue, reflecting growing interest in the party’s local campaign.
Mashaba said ActionSA aimed to “fix South Africa” and would mount what he described as a strong campaign to improve governance in Limpopo municipalities.
