GOOD Party leader Patricia de Lille has officially announced Brett Herron as the party’s mayoral candidate for the City of Cape Town in the upcoming 2026 Local Government Elections, marking Herron’s second bid for the city’s top office following his previous run in 2021.
Speaking at the announcement, De Lille said the decision was rooted in Herron’s long-standing record of integrity and service.
“It gives me great pleasure to introduce Brett Herron,” she told supporters.
“Brett and I have worked together for many years, across different chapters of public service and political life. He is not someone who waits to be invited into the conversation or stands on the sidelines offering criticism. He steps forward, asks the right questions, offers practical solutions, and works tirelessly to make them happen.”
