President Cyril Ramaphosa on Friday inspected the Nasrec COVID-19 facility, which has been identified as one of the sites that would be used to accommodate infected patients.
Ramaphosa met with Premier David Makhura, the MEC of Health Dr Bandile Masuku and MEC for Infrastructure Development Tasneem Motara, who took him on tour of the Nasrec facility and updated him on the impact of COVID-19 in the province, the epicentre of the deadly disease.
Ramaphosa is also expected to visit Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital and the Johannesburg Central Food Bank, which is also used to assist communities in need of food parcels
