The ANC Caucus in Parliament has paid tribute to eNCA’s top cameraman Lungile Tom, who died of coronavirus complications on Wednesday morning.
The news channel confirmed the cameraman’s death on Wednesday, with colleagues sending their deepest and sincerest condolences on social media and sharing their personal stories of the time spent with Tom.
In a media statement, ANC Chief Whip Pemmy Majodina said Tom contributed immensely to the broadcasting industry and brought news to the people in South Africa.
“Lungile was passionate and dedicated to his work. We would often see him with his colleagues in and around the Parliamentary precinct capturing and timeously reporting the work of Parliament”, said Majodina.
“He will always be remembered for his work ethic and friendly personality.”
