Premier Lazarus Mokgosi has announced that the North West provincial government will roll out a province-wide Smart-Gov Monitoring and Evaluation Dashboard from the start of the 2026/27 financial year, aimed at strengthening oversight and improving service delivery across municipalities.
Delivering his State of the Province Address (SOPA), Mokgosi said all departments would be integrated into a single executive oversight platform enabling real-time tracking of performance, expenditure and service delivery outcomes.
He said the province was beginning to reverse poor audit outcomes, with nine of the eleven departments receiving unqualified and clean audits in the latest cycle.
“The encouraging signs of recovery, as reflected in audit outcomes, bear testimony to the ongoing commitment of government to support municipalities through financial recovery plans, administrative support, planning and budgeting,” he said.
