Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane believes the “good work” done by her office is being overlooked by the media intent on focusing more on high profile people and cases.
Addressing University of Pretoria students Monday, Mkhwebane pointed out there were thousands of “sad stories with happy endings where her office had intervened,” but that their good work hasn’t been publisised.
She briefly touched on a number of ‘successes’.
She pointed to the case when they assisted a man who was harassed by creditors demanding that he meet his financial obligations – he was a retired and disabled Free State
